Objective: The event aimed to educate the local community and students on fire safety measures, prevention techniques and emergency response.

Activity: The program includes interactive sessions on fire prevention, demonstrations of firefighting equipment, and practical training on handling fire emergencies. The volunteers played crucial role in organizing the event, spreading awareness and ensuring active engagement of the participants. Their involvement emphasized the importance of community preparedness and safety.

Objective:
1.To educate the local community and students on rights of children, protecting them and promoting welfare.
2. To prevent harm and abuse against children.
3. To protect children from violence, exploitation and harmful practices.

Activity: NSS volunteers collaborated with locals authorities to spread awareness. The resource persons from Anuglaya informed the locals about POCSO, RTE and information on existing child protection helpdesk in Darjeeling. A healthy interaction was held among parents and children. Volunteers played a pivotal role in ensuring safety anNSS Activities 2023–24d protection of children in communities.

Objective: To help the individuals to overcome their dependency on drugs or alcohol and support their journey towards recovery, stability and over all well being. To increase their awareness of understanding physical, emotional and social impacts of substance abuse.

Activity: The volunteers from REVA delivered essential information about
1. Substance abuse and its consequences, fostering informed decision making,
2. Promoted open discussions to reduce the stigma and encourage community support.
3. Build a supportive network within the community to address substance collectively.
4. Our volunteers actively helped the volunteers from REVA and local people during the entire program.

Objective: With an aim to promote awareness about AIDS and its prevention and benefits of blood donation.

Activity: Volunteers actively participated with great enthusiasm alongside the camp, an AIDS awareness program was conducted to educate the participants about HIV/AIDS , its prevention , and the importance of regular health checkups. The event aimed to encourage social responsibility. The event was impactful and memorable one.

Objective: With an aim to promote voluntary blood donation. Encourage people to donate blood. Create importance of blood donation and its benefits. Offer free health checkups to detect health issues at an early. Educate the public about preventive healthcare, hygiene and nutrition. spread awareness about lifestyle diseases like diabetes, hypertension etc. foster community involvement and volunteerism by building a sense of responsibility.

Activity: Volunteers actively participated in registration, health screening and consent form signing of the donators. The staff from blood bank performed safe and hygienic blood collection, it was supervised by a senior staff. Basic physical examinations like BMI, blood pressure, blood sugar were monitored. A general physician was present who was directly involved in general health check up and solving common health issues. A gynecologist helped in solving various female health problems. Distribution of free medicines for minor ailments. The volunteers actively collected feed backs, writing the certificates, distributing food to the donors.
